EmbryoGen and BlastGen are specialised embryo culture medium that contain a protein known as GM-CSF (Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor). GM-CSF is part of the cytokine family that is crucial for effective embryo-endometrium communication. Including GM-CSF in culture medium helps to improve communication between embryo and endometrium, improving implantation.
Recent studies have shown that the addition of GM-CSF to culture medium may be of benefit to:
- Patients who have experienced recurrent clinical and biochemical pregnancy loss
- Patients who have experienced recurrent implantation failure
- Patients diagnosed with Unexplained infertility
